Mama Hug: A post-partum brand and service
“Wouldn’t it be nice if we nurtured new mums the way we nurture new babies? Unfortunately when it comes to post-partum care, mums are so often at the back of the queue. Yes, childbirth is beautiful, but even the most straightforward of deliveries can leave mum feeling battered and bruised”.
It was this thought and a beautiful collaboration between two forward-thinking mums with five children between them and a passion for post-partum maternal care that led the two founders Catherine Sullivan and Victoria Pratt to start Mama Hug, a post-partum gift service and brand for new mums. Having experienced birth every which way, these two mums, who have been friends since high school, know only too well that when it comes to gifts for new mums, the options are on the slim side.

Wylde One won in the Feminine Care category of the Janey Loves Platinum Awards September 2020.
“Following my own journey with intimate health, whilst training as a medical herbalist I kept seeing young women getting intimate irritations after sex, and this was making them feel awkward with their partners and out of touch with their bodies. This story was repeated time and time again by the women that were coming to see me in my clinic once I’d qualified. I specialise in vaginal health and I just knew I could create a completely natural lubricant with top-notch ingredients that would make sex more enjoyable and less likely to cause irritation, whilst allowing them to feel that they were looking after themselves and their bodies’ needs. The concept of Into the Wylde was born.”
