Starting and growing a business takes courage, resilience and vision. But for many female entrepreneurs, the biggest barrier isn’t the idea — it’s access to funding. That’s why we are proud to announce the launch of the Women’s Micro-Grant Program: a quarterly initiative designed to give female founders the early-stage small financial boost they need to start or grow sustainable businesses.
Why We’re Launching This Program
At Untapped FR, our mission is simple: to make entrepreneurial resources accessible to women regardless of their background, income, knowledge or experience.
Too often, women face hurdles when seeking funding — from overlooked ideas and business to systemic biases in funding and investment. The Women’s Micro-Grant Program is our way of helping close that gap. By providing small but impactful grants, we want to empower women with not only resources, but also confidence and validation for their businesses.
The Launch Grant – £1,000 for Our First Cycle
To mark the launch, we’re starting with something special: a £1,000 Launch Grant. This will be awarded to two recipients, each receiving £500 to invest in their businesses.
This funding could go towards essentials like:
- Essential business support such such as incorporation fees, legal advice, accounting, insurance or marketing.
- Education and mentorship such as investing in training programmes, workshops or one-to-one guidance that builds the skills and confidence needed to grow.
- Enabling access to conferences, networking events, or community memberships that open doors to opportunities and collaborations.
- Specialised mentorship in particular, preparing for future growth by accessing investment readiness mentoring or support to secure larger funding rounds.
Sometimes, it’s these small but crucial steps that make all the difference.
Who Can Apply?
For this very first round, applications are open to all female entrepreneurs. From the next cycle onward, however, micro-grants will be reserved exclusively for our members, whose a fraction of their membership fees directly contribute to sustaining and growing the grant fund.
This way, our community creates a self-sustaining ecosystem where women fund women, building sustainable, stronger businesses together.

The recipients will be carefully selected by our panel of judges, based on clarity of business or need, feasibility and potential impact.
Announcement Date
The two recipients of the Founders’ Launch Grant will be announced on 15th October 2025.
We’ll also be sharing their stories on our website, community and newsletter to inspire other women on their entrepreneurial journeys.
