What’s the Women’s Micro-Grant Program?

As part of our commitment to making entrepreneurial resources truly accessible, we are proud to introduce the Women’s Micro-Grant Program. This initiative is designed to give female entrepreneurs the early-stage financial boost they need to start, test or grow their business ideas.

How Does It work?

• Quarterly Funding Cycles – Applications open four times a year.
• Grant Size – £1,000 (£500 awarded per cycle to two successful applicants). Bigger grand sizes to be introduced soon.
• Eligibility – The launch grant is open to ALL female entrepreneurs whether members or non-members. However, future applications will be exclusively for members of our resource hub (coming January 2026).
• Grants Use – The fund is designed to be used on business activities such as support areas that align with our four key pillars of entrepreneurial success.

How can one apply?

• Complete a simple online application during the quarterly cycle.
• Applications are assessed on clarity, feasibility and potential impact.
• Recipients are announced on the website and featured in our community blog/newsletter for visibility and inspiration.

What is the eligibility criteria?

• Must be 18 and over.
• You identify as female.
• You are classed as a small business owner
• You’ve been in business for 6 months or more.
• Any industry or niche.
• For or not-for-profit businesses
• The launch grant is OPEN to all female entrepreneurs whether members or non-members. However, future grant applications will be exclusively be for members of our resource hub.

What’s the process and how long does it take to receive the grant?

The process from application to grant awarding as follows:

• Grant launch announcement
• Applications open for the whole month
• Applications assessment commences for another month.
• Grant recipients announced on our website, social media and newsletters
• Grant funded within 1 week after signing the grant agreement.

How are the grant applicants assessed?

All grant applications are reviewed by a carefully selected panel of judges made up of industry experts, mentors and business professionals who share our commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs. Applicants are assessed using a clear scoring framework to ensure fairness and transparency. Each application is evaluated against three key criteria:

• Clarity of business or need
• Feasibility and use of grant
• Potential Impact

Is there a time limit on when the grant is used by?

Grant recipients will be expected to use the money by a certain period (within 3 months of receiving the grant). This is because the grant is awarded to applicants who truly need the money for their business. Also one major prerequisite is that the money is spent within that time and the awardee must take part in the post-grant activities such as reporting back on what they spent the money on, the impact on their business and also be available for feedback and accountability.

Can I apply more than once?

All eligible female entrepreneurs are free to apply for the women’s micro-grant as many times as possible until they are selected to receive a grant. After that you cannot apply for that particular grant, unless you participate in another grant type or competition.
